Glennallen, AK -- Glennallen High School’s homecoming dance was held on Saturday, November 15.

The junior class voted on this year’s homecoming theme and selected an Under the Sea motif.

Students decorated the music room with colorful seaweed streamers and iridescent jellyfish decorations. There was also a sparkling blue backdrop for student photos.

The evening began with the procession of the homecoming court, which included a total of twelve students elected by their peers. Reese Noble and Michael Johnson were voted homecoming queen and king. Koiana Cooley and Nicholas Patrick were named the homecoming princess and prince.

Debbie Lorence, the high school student council faculty advisor, announced the court members, reading their names, parents’ names, hobbies, and future plans. Carol Cozzen was the evening’s photographer, and Debbie Lorence and Breezy Miller were the adult chaperones for the dance.

Miller estimated that there were around 25 students in attendance and said the dance was “fantastic,” citing the community and volunteer effort required to pull it off.

The homecoming court included Gracie Kvamme and Killian Cooley (ninth grade), Carrie Miller and Timothy Somers (tenth grade), Koiana Cooley and Roman Aguila (eleventh grade), René Rock-Albert and Peyton Roslansky (eleventh grade), Reese Noble and Nicholas Patrick (twelfth grade), and Amber Vollema and Michael Johnson (twelfth grade).
