Slana Archers Continue to Shine

Once again, Ole Bates has coached a group of Slana archers to a high level in the National Archery in Schools (NASP) program. Four students placed in the top ten in their division at bullseye shooting: Benton Clary, Justin Clary, Alani Lehman, and Finn Drinkwater. Five placed in the top ten shooting a 3D (deer dummy) target: McKenzie Kautz, Benton Clary, Justin Clary, Alani Lehman, and Finn Drinkwater.

These students qualify to attend the Western National tournament in Utah in April.

Justin Clary placed first in boys’ middle school statewide in 3D shooting, and Alani Lehman placed first in girls’ middle school in 3D shooting statewide. Finn Drinkwater placed third in 3D shooting for elementary boys statewide.

Alani Lehman placed third in middle school girls statewide in bullseye shooting, and Finn Drinkwater placed third in elementary school boys.
