Lynx Encounter from Kristin Link

Excerpts from science illustrator Kristin Link’s nature journal are now a regular feature in the paper. Accompanying this submission, Kristin says, “Canada lynx populations fluctuate in ten year cycles with snowshoe hares. The last couple years have been a peak, so it is not uncommon to see lynx. It was still quite special to see this family with two kittens. The young spend their first winter with the mother.”
