Book Review: Memoirs of a Gay Shah by Reza Farahan

Posted

I read and enjoyed Memoirs of a Gay Shah: My Story of Family, Fame and Becoming a King by Reza Farnhan.  I laughed a lot.  I cried, had some angry moments and I totally enjoyed this book.

Reza is straight real. Despite hardships in his life I think he truly embraces his experiences because they made him who he is! His relationship with his dad made me feel proud of people I’ve never met. I respect the Persian culture and I’m intrigued by their food.

Reza is a half Muslim, half Jew, Persian, and he’s gay. These, what could’ve been roadblocks, Reza used as stepping stones to make his own empire. Growing up, most of us just wanted to fit in. What seemed impossible to integrate into American culture, Reza made himself the star of his life!

Reza tells all the dirt & spills all the tea. Some things I learned about him, I could’ve not known if you know what I’m sayin!  Easy going, fun read, perfect summer book.  Obviously if you’re a fan of Bravos, Shahs of Sunset or The Valley Persian Style, you’ll love this book.  If you never even heard the name Reza Farahan, you’ll still enjoy this book.
