Palmer, AK -- The band that gave the world “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock” will storm the Alaska State Fair stage next year as part of their worldwide Twisted Forever, Forever Twisted 50th anniversary tour. Twisted Sister will perform Friday, September 4, at 7 p.m. as part of the Fair’s 2026 ConocoPhillips Alaska Concert Series. Tickets went on sale Friday, December 5, at 10 a.m. AKST at alaskastatefair.org.
One of heavy metal’s most iconic and influential bands, Twisted Sister rose to international stardom in 1984 with the release of Stay Hungry, the multi-platinum album that produced two of the most licensed songs in heavy metal history. Across their career, the metal legends have sold more than 35 million albums worldwide and earned 31 Silver, Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum certifications across eight countries.
The band has toured and headlined in over 40 countries and has been recognized with multiple honors, including induction into the Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame in its inaugural 2006 class and the Heavy Metal Hall of Fame in 2023.
Twisted Sister fans can choose between concert-only tickets or tickets including Fair admission (discounted and valid only for the day of the concert). Tickets that include Fair admission must be purchased by Thursday, August 20. Detailed ticket options and pricing are available at alaskastatefair.org. Twisted Sister is the second act announced in the 2026 ConocoPhillips Alaska Concert Series lineup, joining alt-rockers CAKE, who will perform on August 27.
