Marvin Blake Carter, 72, passed away March 9, 2023, at home in Tonsina, Alaska.

Marvin was born November 28, 1950, in Spokane, Washington to Thelma and Ray Carter.

He attended Glennallen high school and charter college. He served in the Vietnam war, and he worked as a barber and a printer. He was very mechanically inclined and loved to tinker.

Marvin is survived by four half-sisters; Teresa Towey of Washington, Karen Davenport of Washington, Sandra Ochoa of Arizona, and Debbie Furnish of Washington. Five children; Todd Carter of Montana, Tanya Spence of Montana, Joseph Carter of Florida, Jayme Hunter of Missouri, and Melissa Carter of Montana. Along with several grandchildren, nieces, and one nephew.
