December 2, 1959 – October 21, 2021

James L. Sharpe, a 25-plus-year Alaskan, passed away in Slana, Alaska on October 21, 2021, at the age of 61.

Jim was a true Alaskan at heart, always active in the community and always outside enjoying the natural splendor of the Copper Valley.  He will be remembered for serving his neighbors, his commitment to the environment, his love of the elders and youth of our communities, and fully embracing life with all his heart and soul.

Jim is survived by his siblings, Deirdre Marie Morris, Julie Ann Kope, Kimberly Markle and Thomas Brian Sharpe, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins from all parts of the United States.

There will be a memorial held in Jim’s honor at the Chistochina Hall in Chistochina, Alaska on November 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Everyone who knew and loved Jim is welcome to come and share with his family and friends our loving remembrances of him.
