Daniel Edward Horvath 1961-2023

Daniel Edward Horvath, (62) of Glennallen, Alaska passed away at home on

January 25, 2023.

Daniel, also known as “Grandpa Dan” is survived by wife, Angela Horvath, and his

three children Joshua (Megan) Horvath, Dawn (Pasquinel) Allaire, and Sara

Horvath, his grandchildren, Jacob and Cameron Horvath, and Audrina and Preston

Allaire, his mother, Barbara Lane, brother, Ralph Lane, sisters, Carol Lane-Jabines,

Patricia Lane Williams Cheney, Beverely Carson, and many nieces and

nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Horvath, and brothers

Christopher and Billy Horvath.

While Dan left us far too soon, he held many titles in his life, from retired

mechanic foreman to hunter and fisherman, but his favorite roles were husband,

father, and grandfather. He loved nothing more than spending time with his wife,

adult children, and grandchildren. He was always there for them, whether he was

teaching them how to change their oil, building their family home, or cheering

them on as they catch a fish or shoot their first animal. He doted on his family and

especially adored taking his family to his cabin at Crosswind lake or taking them

for a ride in the jeep down to the river. His grandkids loved spending time with

their Grandpa Dan and will truly miss him, as will the rest of his loved ones.

Dan will be honored in a celebration of life on February 18, 2023 at the Tazlina

Hall at 2:00 p.m.
